The qualified gardener, trained in horticulture and landscape gardening, says of herself:
“I may be a late bloomer, but perhaps that’s because I wasn’t previously ready or mature enough to pursue my goals in the manner in which I can now. It was a long growth process which enables me to first now allow my emotions and feelings to run free and to display them openly.
Here and now I have finally come to the point where I can say enthusiastically and proudly:
I WILL DO IT AND I CAN DO IT!! ROCK ON!!!”
In the daily broadcast ARD television series “Eine für Alle” (One for All), directed by Hans-Henning Borgelt and Michael Zschieschow (Bavaria GmbH), Virginia made her serial debut in early 2009 in the role of Natascha.
Virginia concluded filming in roles for the films “Die Stumme” (The Mute), a Western directed by Felice Bonfiglio, and “Rosa & Marie” (a film about the persecution of the Jews in 1938), directed by Detlef Muckel in 2009.
Her New Year’s resolution and goal for 2009 was to go online with her own website, to “open herself to the world”, and to promote her previous work.
Virginia says: “It is important to make a plan and to see it through to the best of your abilities.”
How do I present myself to casting directors? What do I want to achieve and – above all – how?
These are not only questions that Virginia has asked herself, she has approached these issues head-on. “Learning by doing” is thereby her motto.
“I take sincerity and my instinct along with me to my casting appointments; I think about taking small steps to get where I’m going and it is my firm belief that no destination is too far!”
The lateral entrant in the TV and film business is bent on climbing the career ladder. She is convinced that her goals will come into tangible reach with patience, courage, and her diligent character.
Her lifeblood is acting – that and a little island in the Mediterranean: the Island of Malta. Not only is her temperament Maltese, so is her aura, her zest for life and her energy – necessary prerequisites in order to master the challenges of the film business.
Malta, a little island with a lot of heart.
Her family lives on Malta and Virginia rhapsodizes, “This island has had a great influence on my life. It’s so tiny, but the Maltese people and their way of life are simply great. I love being there and I love visiting my family. The people of Malta are open-hearted, spirited, and helpful – just like me!” she quite proudly reemphasizes her roots.
Virginia was born in Nuremberg, was raised trilingual, and was athletically active in handball and synchronized swimming on a competitive level. The actress benefits from this period in her life when she was actively involved in sports. Intensive training, discipline, and teamwork are just as important to her in other areas of her life.
“I’m pretty tough,” comes her response when asked what throws her off course. Then, Virginia elaborates by saying, “I never bury my head in the sand – that only leads to suffocation!”
“If I have a bad day or a terrible experience I try to channel it into something positive; to make it useful.”
